Sugar Cookie Recipe

The holiday season is upon us and that means family, friends and my personal favorite food. This time of year can often feel rushed, chaotic and stressful. However, one thing we should not lose site of is that this time of year should be focused on spending time with family/friends and giving back.  As we thought about what products to bring on for our holiday bags, we really wanted to inspire togetherness. One of our new favorite items are our holiday cookie cutters because it reminds us of baking cookies with our family during the holidays.  I decided to share one of my favorite sugar cookie recipes to hopefully inspire you to take a break from the holiday madness and focus on spending some quality time making memories with your family and friends this holiday season.

Soft Sugar Cookies

Unsalted Butter - 3/4 c, softened

Cream Cheese - 4 oz, softened

Sugar - 1 1/2 c

Egg - 1

Vanilla Extract - 2 tsp

Flour - 2 1/2 c

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Pro-Tip: You can add in holiday M&Ms or top with frosting + holiday sprinkles

Preheat oven to 375.  Lightly spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray or parchment paper; set aside.  In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine the flour and salt.  Once the wet ingredients are well combined, slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until just combined (mixture will be a bit sticky).  Chill dough for about 15 min. Scoop, roll, and slightly flatten cookie dough and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.  Enjoy!
